Model Answers: Let’s Ask Aoi

  1. My parents’ names are Hiroyuki and Akiko. My father is thirty-nine years old and is a dentist. He likes fishing. My mother is thirty-seven and she is a homemaker. She likes to watch Korean dramas. My brother and I live with both of them.
  2. Yes, I do. My parents won’t let me have a video game console or a smartphone. They think I will waste too much time using them when I should be studying.
  3. My mother says that her parents were strict with her when she was going up. She had to do her homework and help around the house with chores every day. She wasn’t allowed to leave the house after dark until she was twenty years old.
  4. I guess so. My mother is really kind and my father is always happy to help me with my homework or drive me somewhere I need to go.
  5. My friend Ryota’s father is really funny. He always makes me laugh. His mother is very nice and always makes me feel welcome in their home.
  6. I think kindness and generosity are important, as well as a sense of humour. These are all traits that make it easy to get along with someone. My parents are both kind and generous. My father thinks he has a good sense of humour but I don’t think he’s as funny as he thinks he is.
